This steering wheel was installed by the PO. I love it. It's like having power steering.
Is there a way to pull a wire to the center button?
What's behind the steering wheel mounting hub? Will I find a path? I don't want to remove the steering wheel if there is no path to run a wire. I need a horn before I turn into an SUV pancake.Attached Image Attached Image

The wire may or may not be there already, I would pull the hub to check. Hopefully it is capped off and tucked inside.

Pull the hub for sure. You might find a Rolex watch in there.

The stock horn wire should be in the column, behind the hub. It can feed through the small hole on the left. Just make sure there is enough slack to allow the wheel to crank fully left and right.

But you’ll also need to ground one of those spades…

How would you add the ground if I find the horn wire behind the hub?

I should add that the PO installed a separate horn button under the steering wheel that travels to a relay and then the horn. My original plan was to feed that wire through the back somehow, but based on other posts and photos of the steering column, that looks like a fool's errand.

The horn "switch" is grounded through the steering column. It only requires the one hot connection behind the center wheel cover (hub). It's a spade lug connector. I can't remember the color of the wire.

Pull the wheel adaptor off and find the original wire which will be live but most likely cut off the contact ring or sealed , repair and pass via the hole in the adaptor ,then drill and tap a separate hole for earth inside the adaptor to get a good ground and should work, power in button to earth will make the horn work .
However if the wheel has an oddball adaptor the horn ring may not be present because it didn't fit ,cheers
