It's time to sell my '75, and I've delayed long enough. I've put a ton of parts into the car, and have corresponding receipts. It has stock L-jet fuel injection that runs decently and returns good economy. The current yellow paint is in fair shape and shines. The original L95K (metallic green) paint is still visible in the engine compartment and around the fuel tank. The dash and interior are in excellent condition. The door gaps look good, and the body is straight. The car is currently licensed and inspected in Texas, and is driven regularly.
The Hell Hole and and corresponding area upon the driver's side are strong and solid, but the car has two patches of rust upon the firewall and a pinhole in the rear trunk. The rest of the body is solid and well preserved. These issues are fixable, but I do not have the time or proper space to complete the repairs. New tires and a front end alignment will be needed soon. I can provide pictures of the damaged areas upon request. It's too dark to take them now. I am asking $4,000 or best offer. I take cash or cashier's checks for local pickup, and will take PayPal from buyers elsewhere. The buyer will pay shipping if the buyer is unable to pick up the car. Please post a response if you are interested. |

Great looking car for the money! This one should sell fast.
Are the Fuchs real? Was the conversion done with hubs alone or with 911 struts? Nice reflector....remote trunk lock? |

a few more of interior-engine-rear trunk and front trunk.. but at this point.... looks like too low of a price... gorgeous car!! good luck with the sale.. 914runnow: I have to go to work soon, but I'll take more pics ASAP. To clarify, the firewall on the driver's side, near the engine compartment and trunk release, has rusted through in an area approximately 3" wide. There is a pinhole in the corresponding area of the firewall on the passenger's side. These holes are above the area that usually rusts, and I believe they were caused by water soaked sound deadening material. I think the price is fair given the situation. I'm hoping for a relatively quick sale. billh1963: The rear conversion was done with drilled stock hubs, and I'm not sure about the front. The Fuchs are aftermarket, and the chrome is flaking in a few places. It would be relatively easy to polish them. The trunk release is cable operated, and there is no key hole of which I am aware. Thank you for looking. |

Sorry about the last posting, I did not understand how to add to the post. I am looking for a nice 914 for my son and this car looks really nice. I do paint and body work on vintage and race Porsches. I am familiar with the 914's but really haven't had much an opportunity to work on them. Is there a way to find more about the car and possibly make a deal? Is it allowed to leave phone number on this forum to follow up with? |

I hope I have not upset anyone. I appoligize for not knowing how to properly reply to these threads. You can see I am not so in touch with the computer world. I thought that the best place to look to buy a nice 914 was from it's best supporters. Please help guide me along if I make any mistakes. thanks for your help!

He works for a local Porsche Racing shop "Klub Sport" and has gotten the Porsche bug. I am retired and do paint and body work on many of the vintage and Racing Porsches for the club. This car looks like a great candidate at a fair pirce. My only problem is that the shipping cost would be about $600.00 and I'm not sure about any car that I can not actually "touch" if you know what I mean. Texas is just a little far for me to venture to take a look. That being said, I would like to speak with you further on the car if you would not mind. I'm really looking for a "Nice" roller with engine or transmission issues as this would be something he could fix himself. Problem is, there are few and far between. If you can, would you call me at 561-762-8028 cell or if you give me your number I would be happy to call you. My name is Russ |
