914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ FS: New Old Stock 1.7,2.0 Manifold Pressure Sensor

This is my last one of these. I was sandbagging this one but now is the time to go. These have been NLA from Porsche or anywhere for a long time. Last price was just North of $1.2k. Buy it here at a real world price $400 shipped. Why buy a rebuilt at this price?

Mark - if I'm reading the label date code on the label (dang bass-ackward Euro dating system!) - it's from 1970 - is that correct.

Is it the correct MPS for an early-73 2.0 like mine (built 8/72)???? confused24.gif
... IIRC - the MPC on the 2.0's changed sometime mid-MY 73??

If so & it's still operable & without the inner rubber diaphram not deteriorated to sa to require a reman, then I'm interested.

Mark I'll take it thanks.

Dang Tod!!!! dry.gif laugh.gif

Tod - as I noted in my reply just missing yours ... there was a change MY 73 mid way thru for the MPC IIRC, so you should first check which version yours has/uses, since the system would be set up differently with the later part no. one!

If not sold to Tod - then I'm in for 2nd in line if it's correct for mine!

Tom, I bought and use an NOS 037 on my 74 w/ no issue and it is perfect. This price is a damned steal.. If he puts it on ebay it will go $600 easy. This is a critical part and to have an NOS unit is sweet..

Thanx for the input Joe - it is correct for my 73 2L apparently. Yours may have richness, fouling or emissions problems etc. unapparent in basic use - if it did change for 74 MY, but whether it causes other problems I don't know. Or maybe the change was for the detuned 75-76 2.0s??

I plan to get this whenever I hear back from Mark on shipping & diaphram condition. confused24.gif confused24.gif confused24.gif confused24.gif

.... hint, hint Mark .... poke.gif biggrin.gif

Hey Joe - are you putting that rear window defrost on your 74 to take it up to Montana? confused24.gif
