sounds like Subi 2.5L is going to be coming?

Posted by: sean_v8_914 Aug 26 2010, 10:08 AM

shhh!

Posted by: ArtechnikA Aug 26 2010, 10:48 AM

Remind me what kind of oil pump is in that?

Don't want the clutch, any of the oiling bits, or any of the exhaust.
All that could be more valuable as a set to someone looking at a conversion than part of the package...

Got a price for just the engine ?

Thanks.

Priced Reduced.

Posted by: Britain Smith Aug 30 2010, 09:39 PM

Ok, I have located my new motor. I am serious about selling, price reduced. If you are serious, make me an offer.

-Britain

Posted by: Britain Smith Aug 31 2010, 11:52 AM

This would make a great street/weekend track engine.

Great street engine with reduced timing and premium pump gas.

If you are thinking about going down the path towards a 914/6 conversion, it doesn't get any easier than this. I have everything to need for the conversion...including a great engine.

Accepting offers.

Those chassis dyno numbers at the wheels or 'corrected' crank estimates. I'd probably contemplate a yearlong grudge by the wife and selling my motorcycle and 4cyl if I was on the west coast.

Posted by: Britain Smith Sep 13 2010, 08:34 PM

Those are dyno numbers at the wheels. Equals to about 235hp at the crank, estimated.

Have you already sold off your 914/6 oil-tank/console/filler?
If you haven't PM me your price.

Posted by: Britain Smith Sep 27 2010, 12:46 PM

Not yet, none of that will go until the engine is sold.

Buy the engine and I will make you a good deal on the conversion stuff. smile.gif

Ha, I have been thinking about RV's lately, but no plans to get one. As soon as someone purchases this engine, the money will go right back into the car for the new engine.

-Britain

Posted by: Britain Smith Oct 9 2010, 10:08 PM

Does anyone know anyone working on or thinking about a 914/6 conversion? If so, let me know. I am willing to make a killer deal on the whole package, I even have a 914/6 intermediate plate for the transmission with the bell linkage and throttle cable. They only parts that I don't have are an engine mount (well, I have one side of a Rich Johnson mount, the other is welded to the car) and engine tin.

I am a very motivated seller, give me a ring, lets make a deal.

$500 off for 914World Members.

If you are looking for an engine that is a known quantity (i.e. running, very reliable, pulls strong, etc.) then let me know and we can work a deal. I have an entire YouTube channel full of video's of this engine in action. Here is a really good video track side from a recent event. http://www.youtube.com/user/69turbo912?feature=mhsn#p/a/u/0/1AH9-yrEslE

Bump for price reduction.

I will sell all the 914/6 conversion parts with the engine for $10.5 plus shipping. This is a heck of a deal for those looking to do a conversion.

A race-gas engine is a hard sell.
My rough estimate was $2500 to make it run happily on pump gas.
Still a great deal with all the conversion parts - if you need all the conversion parts...

Posted by: Britain Smith Oct 19 2010, 10:08 PM

Nah, this engine can easily run on pump gas with 27degrees of timing. The actual compression ratio is much less than 10.4:1, more like 9.6:1.

As for the conversion parts, they will be sold as soon as the engine is out of the car.
