914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ WTB: 1.8 or 2.0 engine for rebuild

Posted by: kevin311 Jul 21 2011, 08:30 AM

My dad has had an itch for a project ever since I picked up my 914. So now I'm on the lookout for an engine we can build together (2056).
Preferably looking in Florida but if the price is right you never know.
Thanks for the help

I have a 1976 912E 2.0L for sale. The core is the same as a 914 2.0L . The FI and the tin are different. It would have to be rebuilt, it turns over but is very loose. I have a 2056 in my 912E now. I built it with all Jake Raby parts. Mine has a cam and is using 44MM Webers. About 105 HP at the rear wheels but the best part is + 120 Ftlb at the rear wheels from about 2000 to 5000 RPM. It pulls like crazy! Check the classified on this board, someone has a 2056 for sale with FI For, I think $5000. There are about $5000 worth of parts in 2056 depending on the heads. I live in Atlanta (Roswell) and can deliver an engine to you as I was planning a trip to ClearH2O to see my Brother in Law in Sept or early October.

I have a 75-76 GC case 2.0. It turns over by hand but needs rebuilt. I want $300 for it as a core. It still has the tin too. I have no info on the motor but it looks like its been sitting for years.
