Actually, this is a good deal if someone wants a complete plug'n'play. The Brain or ECU has a fairly shiny green tag that usually represents it is a rebuilt unit (always nice to know).

Add a Jeff Bowlsby rebuilt FI harness in a year and you will run this forever, especially since Chris Foley is now offering rebuild kits for the biggest failure culprit.

Good package Rich...

Thanks smile.gif
couple of things to note-
Hard to see in the pic but there is a working AAR, thermotime sensor & cold start inj. attached to the plenum
Not in the pic but included is a flashback valve, air pump & assoc. HW.
also the oil fill tower pictured has been replaced with the one correct for the (MY) system
I suppose I could post individual pics of the component parts for ID purposes,
If serious LMK

If you make the modest increase to 2054cc will this accommodate it?

p.s. This is one of the best running systems I have ever driven. I have a 76 with this FI, and it starts every time on the first try. Sort of like a modern car.

I have been running carbs since the early 80s. I rebuilt the engine with a street cam to fit the carbs. Can I return to this type of fuel injection without modifying the engine?

Sorry No, a carb cam won't work with this system. Stock or there is a slightly larger FI cam from WEB Cam, the site will have the grind number.

Do you mean 2056? idea.gif (96mm pistons & cylinders) all things being equal yes, Ive done several updates w/96's & kept the stock D-jet injection. sunglasses.gif

Yes the 2056. I got the number mixed up - though I find it listed as different values in different tables. Perhaps it is a difference between the english and metric values for pi.
Now I have to find the right cam!

Will any type of FI system work with a carb cam (Webcam #86)?

Posted by: 914werke Feb 12 2014, 04:40 PM

The Webcam #86 grind is supposedly a replacement for the stock cam on eng.'s running OE FI. Are you sure its not a #86A?

Posted by: michael7810 Feb 12 2014, 10:27 PM

I'm sure it's a #86. Webcam's website description is "good overall performance for carbureted mechanical street engines. RPM range 2500-5500." #73 is for stock FI

Ok this has been sitting around for too long.. dry.gif
For those seeking..you are going to be had pressed to find a late CA system that is as complete as this one WITH its specific EGR plumbing.
the ONLY component you may have to source is the EGR tube that connects back to the Muffler.
Fortunately Chris at Tangireing Racing makes a re-pop. smile.gif

Interested for my '74 2.0L. What's the condition of the injectors themselves? Big extra expense if not good, yes?

Posted by: flmont Oct 2 2014, 09:14 PM

Can you stroke the bottem end and still run a Original FI system ,..say 78 MM crank and 102MM PC's, headwork / larger valves and still use a D-Jet F.I system with a FI cam ??????? Thanks

The change in disp. with 96's is modest & seems to be still within the envelope of function for the OE D-Jet system, but Im doubtful that it still would be adaptable to an eng. configured as you described.
