£32 GBP is approx $50 USD but this varies with the exchange rates daily.

Paypal is nice and easy as you can just select the currency GBP. They do a fair exchange rate and they pay me GBP and charge you USD.

Another needed replacement ! Thanks for making these, will be ordering...

Posted by: euro911 Dec 28 2012, 07:42 PM

Jim, can you hold off for a few weeks? ... maybe we can get a Group Buy going idea.gif

Neil,

I understand the exchange rate changes daily, but what would the estimated breakdown be for a Group Buy on the following:

10 Taco Plates ... $_____ USD ea.

10 Tuna Cans ... $_____ USD ea.

+1 ... on the group buy for both taco and tuna ... smile.gif
I'm game for one of each as well.

I'm in for both. Group buy or otherwise.

Hello all and thanks for your interest.

Heres some figures for you;

Taco plate
£32 each for 1-4
£31 each for 5-9
£29 each for 10-24
£27 each for 25-49
£25 each for 50+

Tuna can
£45 each for 1-4
£43 each for 5-9
£41 each for 10-24
£39 each for 25-49
£36 each for 50+

Shipping
£8 for 1 Part
£2 for each additional part upto 10 parts
£1 for each additional part over 10 parts

As an example if you order 10 taco plates and have them shipped to the same address they will work out to £31.60 each including shipping, which is less than the £32 for just the part. Or better still if i can make 25 for you then they will be £28.64 each including shipping. But for 50 they work out to just £26.32 each includng shipping.

$$$$ - To give you an idea of the exchange rates -

£31.60 GBP (the shipped cost for each taco plate if ordering 10) will work out to appox $50 USD.

£26.32 GBP (the shipped cost for each taco plate if ordering 50) will work out to appox $40 USD.

Hope this helps, if you want more info/prices etc just let me know.

Cheers,
Neil

Mark,

Put me down for both, not just the Taco Plate. Question: do we need gaskets for either ? And can I get them with the order if they are required ?

jh

Posted by: euro911 Dec 29 2012, 09:38 PM

Good question, Jim, since seals aren't shown with the parts.

Posted by: KaptKaos Dec 29 2012, 09:39 PM

Mark - thanks for running with this.

And yes, I am in for one of each.

Posted by: gothspeed Dec 30 2012, 01:15 PM

This is great! Looks like there will be at least 4 of us down in LA/OC area smilie_pokal.gif

I am thinking I should maybe order a spare set, since it appears we may save a few bucks on combined shipping ... idea.gif

Question to Jonesy: Is the siphon extension 'sealed' once it is installed?

Posted by: Rand Dec 30 2012, 01:19 PM

Nice machine work. Good on you for making these.

Jim, you will just need to use standard gaskets.

Do you mean the pick up extension? this will not need to be 'sealed' as such but does of course seal enough to pick up the oil from the sump extension.

I know there must be more people that want to take advantage of this group buy. Is everyone broke after the holidays or too busy going to parties and visiting family and friends?

Yes, does it 'slip on' or does it fit 'tight' onto the oil pick up tube?

I agree it does not need a hermetic seal as the viscosity in the splash oil should create enough resistance in that area ..... which will cause most of the oil to flow through the larger orifice.

I'll do one of each as well please if this is still open.

I think there are not more buyers because this GB is not in the Garage section. I know I do not frequent the Classifieds as often and most GBs are in the Garage. I will bump up the Tuna/Taco thread in the garage and link to this GB thread again.

I updated Post 14 http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?s=&showtopic=200904&view=findpost&p=1792427

Do you guys want me to start a combined 'Taco/Tuna Group Buy' thread in the garage for more exposure?

It would be easier to edit and show an updated proposed participant list in the first post idea.gif

Posted by: gothspeed Jan 2 2013, 10:55 AM

Sounds like a good idea smash.gif

Posted by: euro911 Jan 2 2013, 06:52 PM

OK. We're closing this thread and starting a NEW thread for a Group Buy for both these Taco Plates and Tuna Cans ...
