WTB 924 steering column windshield wiper switch or any refferals where to buy. Upgrading to an electric washer pump and need this switch. Unfortunately Porsche no longer makes this part

Here is the Pelican article that references the part number. I found it for sale but the picture shows it with the two black tubes that the 914 switch uses. It is a vw part number. Not sure if the picture is wrong.

I found the same articles last night and ordered the ghia switch, identical part but half the price. Porsche no longer makes the 924 switch, and could only find a brown switch on eBay and would need black to match my car

If you got it from CIP1 double check the wiring (compare it to your original switch). Pin 2 and 3 are likely reversed. Don't ask how I know.
And for what it's worth, I couldn't make that switch work to save my life (even after the reversed wiring discovery). Kept blowing fuse 8. I worked on this problem for WEEKS!

I agree with the above. I've been told by a couple of people already, that these replacement VW switches are of very poor quality and do not work properly. I was thinking of doing this conversion with a new aftermarket VW switch and decided against it for this very reason. You could probably go with a good used VW switch. There should be enough of those around. Check theSamba classifieds.
