Is it the one which wraps tightly & form fitting around the pinched fenders behind the F turn signals, or the later colgan that isn't stitched form fitting?

How can I tell. I have never even opened the box. Do you have a part number that we can reference to be sure?

If you look at it at the area around the turn signal cutouts, you should see stitching to form fit it to the fenders & lie flat on the front deck lid. There may also be a pic on the box or instructions showing if it form fits flat to the dekc lid & around the fenders' shape, or that it more or less spans between the fenders' tops.
You should be able to check it without opening the plastic bag.
Also, if you bought it new from Colgan in the last 5-10 years, then it probably isn't the early & more expensive to produce form fitting type.
Sorry, but I have no idea what Colgan's 10-15 year old part no. would've been.
The form fitting ones tend not to flap as much - if at all, whereas the later "spanning" type has 1-2" of space over the deck lid & can flap at freeway speeds. So IMHO they're not as good & could cause scuffing on the paint of the lid.
TIA for checking!

*Vinyl-coated hooks, aircraft-quality bungee cords, and padded tabs prevent finish
damage while securing the bra in place
*Colgan Custom Car Bras hug your vehicle with a tight, snug fit that resists flapping,
even at high speeds
*Flannel lining is safe on paint and doubled up along seams and at corners for extra
scratch-protection
*Low-profile dual air dams and flow-through grille screens allow full airflow to your
engine
It has 3 bendable "clamps" on each side of the bra near the round light holes, and some stretchable elastic under the vinyl as well to pinch it very tight. It appears that the bendable "clamps" go around each fender because that is where the round light holes are on each side. Here are a few pictures. It appears like the tight version described.

I can't tell from your pix, but the inside of the fender bumps is where they'd have the extra form fitting stitching to make it form fit better than the later versions.
look to see if it has the rounded form around the oval front turn signal cut-out (not the round side marker).
Too bad your 914 is gone, cuz you could just put it on the car to see how it fits.
All that attachment stuff is pretty much standard on all verions of Colgan, Porsche's "official logo" dealer sold ones, etc.
And yeah - I was thinking about the same thing trying to repack our big airbed a few weeks back! LOL
If it's the one that follows the curve of the L & R fender tops with the center part flat on the hood/deck lid, then I'm interested.
Cheers!

Is this that kind? I have a bra that hooks over the front hood, so I can't fill up with gas while it's attached. Me no like! Is that one like this one? Sorry if it's upside-down!
