Time for paint! I am looking for NOS rubber (NOT TIRES).
Regards,
James
You're kidding, right?
914rubber.com of course
True, and I understand wanting NOS, but sometimes NOS rubber is NLA, expensive if you can find it ... and yes, OLD.
Porsche had resumed manufacturing some parts a few years ago, I think NEW front windshield rubber might still be available for around $250. No more $1000. NOS ones.
We have some NOS set aside for my wife's car, but also a lot of stuff from Mark.
Let us know what OEM rubber you run across in your quest.
There is alot of difference in the quality of the rubber now and the quality then.
Sorry this not intended this to be a slight toward mark at 914 rubber. However I would still like to get NOS rubber. Please let me know what you have
For what it's worth, I have purchased a lot of parts from Mark. Mark is a standup guy and I totally appreciate the contribution he has/makes to the community.
Regards
James
I wish you well in your hunt. There are a few hoarders that have put parts into the "Batcave" for retrieval at a future date.
You will want to make sure that they have treated the rubber as it will dry out over time and harden. It is sensitive to Ozone and a few other chemicals. It does shrink over time. 35 years can make a size difference, some say glycerine helps. It's out there, just hidden in stashes.
It may also help to call out which parts specifically you need.
