914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ FS Rebuilt Axles

Posted by: PanelBilly Mar 5 2015, 06:49 PM

CV joints were cleaned inspected and reinstalled on axles that I had powder coated red. New boots, bolts and schnoor washers I screwed up and need 911 CVs
and the longer axle! How does $300 sound? + shipping cost.

Now with a pretty picture of them

Those DO look sweet. And they would go with my freshened up engine/tranny nicely.

Tempted, but I've spent so much money recently. Good luck with it!

Hi,
Are these axles still available? I am restoring a 1972 914 and need axles! Are these right for me??
Thanks,
Bruce

How many miles on these before they were rebuilt ?

I'm guessing the shafts are original. The cv joints were replaced 20 years ago and then I stopped driving the car right after that. I had them pulled apart and inspected by my machinist and then he pressed them back on with new boots.

Wouldn't have done all this if I had realized I needed different axles for the new hubs.
