Hi All,
I just recently purchase the engine and transmission for my conversion and I'm looking for an engine cradle, Blanking plate, converter sleeve, stub axles etc...

Most important an engine cradle, and engine management (Links, MS)

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the comments, and to all of you that have done these conversions and a complete from top to bottom restorations my respects. I've been at my restoration for 10 months now and it has been hundredths of hours just on the rustoration, + lots more hours of research, collecting parts, and a lot a lot a lot of reading of most of you all's blogs and projects.
I have a general knowledge and can build and do just about anything when I put my mind to it... My only problem now is that my wife gave me a year to complete this project. I don't want to push my luck because she has been very supportive and patient since i've taken over a 3 car garage...

If you don't get a reply you might consider building these things yourself. The $$$ you save will buy a lot of nice toys. Built my cradle with 4130 chromoly for $110. My cable to trans adapter for <$5 + cables.

Converter sleeve is pretty easy too if you have access to a welder.

It's a bit harsh to say Coldwater is MIA, when Coldwater is a side business for a young man with a new job, new marriage and has been supplying such a wide verity of terrific parts for our cars.

I have been considering it, but my timing is getting shorter by the day. At the end of it all if I need to fab it my self then so be it... Do you have anything on your cradle that I can go by or did you build it on the fly? I'm sure I've come across your thread but I've gone through so many I've lost track. Also, what were the length of the trans cables?

Just for the record, I have the most respect for the young man. And when I said that Coldwater is MIA, I ment Coldwater and not the MAN. I think his parts are terrific otherwise I wouldn't be asking for them... His site is no longer available and I have tried to contact him with no response.

Again it was not intended to disrespect the Business, the Young Man, Or Product...

Thanks for the info, I remember a while back looking at this site and recalled some of the items that i'm looking for.
I do believe that I've over researched, because I know i've seen it just don't recall where, and my notes are all over...

Remove the center differential from the rear of the transmission, and cut through it with a grinding wheel (its hardened, so a saw won't do much).

on jan 26th ian explained his circumstances. he invested a great deal of time to create some needed products, and although he may not be able to fill orders quickly, his products appear to be of fantastic quality/design and worth a bit of a wait. bravo to ian for investing his time and energy to do what he has done.
