SOLD THANKS Well, plans are changing again, here is for sale a nice 1974 2.7 liter engine for your 914-6 conversion. Engine has been refreshed by Rivard Competition here in Quebec, includes rebuilt alternator, new rotor cap, new plugs, new wire, new valve covers seals, cooler seals, new thermostats, heads redone, valve adjusted, comes with clutch and aluminium pressure plate, old heat exchangers, & like new Italian IDA Webers, NEW price $ 7400 usd plus shipping & paypal fees if required. please PM if interrested , more pictures available if needed . thks

Any idea of the mileage or condition of the bottom end?

Hi , the shop where I bought it , mentionned it was very low mileage and engine running very well when removed from the car .
Cold leakdown numbers are : 2% 6% 2% 7% 2 % 8% wich are excellent .

Yup its already there........... a few people interrested but no money exchanged yet ....... No worries these engine will only go up in value ,. Someone will need it someday... beerchug.gif

And I just missed a relatively low mileage running 2.7 complete with similar specs on ebay that sold for 5,400 including shipping CONTUS and included muffler and leak down data etc.
