I have always loved the Ghia.

"Maybe" a dumb question..... how possible is it to drop a 914 motor in a Ghia???

Straight-forward???

Buddy, theoretically I believe it's very straight forward but I've never heard of anyone wanting to swap out a type 1 motor in a ghia for a type 4. The cost to size ratio of the engine makes a type 1 motor so much more economical. You could build a much larger engine dollar for dollar with a type 1. Also you'd have to convert to an upright fan shroud for the type 4 motor (like a DTM or 911 cooling)

I recently restored one. Same year, but convertible. Fun cars...
