These were on a 911 turbo look car. They will Never fit a stock 914. I posted the offset

I have a flared 914..i have a 15x11 fuchs on it now and wanted to change the look...just need to know if the distance from the hub to the inside edge...it will need to be less than 5 inches to clear my 914...FYI My flares are bigger than the average GT Flares

Posted by: exultant1 Nov 18 2015, 01:00 PM

Just want to confirm...is that negative offsets you posted?

Posted by: mepstein Nov 18 2015, 04:53 PM

If you flip the center section can to get the numbers you need?

Not sure if the inner halves are polished or not?

Really disappointed with this transaction. Mepstein, told me that he was selling for a friend and that's where he got the wrong offset info. I asked to return but he wants me to cover 240.00 in shipping for his mistake. I thought this deal would go well since Mepstein has sold many wheels in this forum. I am not going to pay 240.00 for his wrong doing. I even gave him an option to give me cash back to purchase 2 inch spacers and received no response.
What happened to trust worthy board sellers.

Posted by: exultant1 Dec 1 2015, 02:24 PM

Just FYI
Offset he posted were
-30 rear
-25 front

Actual offset
+50 rear
+40 front

Big difference. ..its equivalent to selling me 15 inch wheels when I expected 17.

I tried to work this out with buyer but exultant1 has made a constant barrage of threats and harassing emails, voicemails, and pm's for the last couple days. So this is the official public notice to him. Do not contact me any more. Any further attempt and your local authorities will be notified.

meptein is a shady seller. I don't want to work anything out with you due to the lies you have told. You should be banned from 914world.com , I'm sure you have had other bad deals on this board. Just fyi 914 world...I just gave a guy 1600.00 for some wheels that was not as described and the seller was not responding. ..of course, I will call,email,pm...who wouldn't it was 1600 bucks. Karma buddy

What do these fit? If they will work on an SC/Carrera flared 911 I may be interested in them. TiA.

I don't know the specifics of what happened, but obviously you're not happy with the transaction. Sorry about that. But what I can offer is my personal experience: I've done business with Mark on more than one occasion and have found him totally above board. Rather than publicly throwing accusations around, I recommend you do your best to work out the disagreement in private like a gentleman.

These sort of airing laundry posts only cause the poster lose face. Mepstein has been a standup member of this board for some time. His previous actions stand taller than a 5 post member slinging slander.

Posted by: PotterPorsche Dec 1 2015, 10:32 PM

If I spent 1600 on a set rims that were clearly misrepresented I would be pissed. I see in the earlier post the buyer asks about negative offset. When wheels arrive they are positive offset rims. That is plainly a misrepresentation. I'm sure the seller is aware of the difference between positive and negative offset.

If you had good experience, great. I did not, and I did try to work it out in private like gentlemen but did not come to an agreement due to lack of communication on the sellers part.

Just to be clear...I have been a member on different forums and having 5 posts or 1000 post to your name does not make a person more or less trustworthy.
My intention was definitely not just "airing laundry"....I wanted to inform other members of a bad deal that I had experienced for cautionary purposes on future deals.
This deal was very simple without any grey area. I purchased a set of wheels that were MISREPRESENTED (wrong offset) which will not work with my application, seller blamed a friend of his who gave him the wrong info that I was provided. Who is at fault? not me...but I'm stuck with them now because I refused to pay 240.00 for shipping at both ends for a sellers negligence.

You are entitled to your opinion, as am I. I've had multiple positive transactions with him, and he's gone out of his way to help me before. I am confident that others feel similarly. My opinion is that I do not think he is shady at all.

Hopefully you both can figure out a way to come to something resembling an amicable solution.

Exactly PotterPorsche...I just expected to receive what I was promised for an exchange of 1600 mighty dollars....Oh well, maybe a good deal is headed my way to make up for this bad one.
