I have the center dash vent. I will try to get you pictures in the next few days. Mark at 914Rubber has reproductions of this: Bracket, engine lid buffer 914 512 325 10.

Thanks, Greg. My center vent is crumbling to dust. I saw the engine lid rubber buffer at 914rubber.com, but they don't list the metal bracket. I had one bracket in my tool box for 30 years, knew it came off my car...but didn't know from where??? Recently saw the part in a 914World Guess This Part thread. Now that I know what it is, got to have two before I reinstall the rain tray

I sold 2 of the brackets a couple of months ago. Control arm brackets going out in the morning, be there Thursday.

New type 4 thermostats made in USA are available over at theSamba and on Ebay. $100 range.
