914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ F.S. New '74 - '76 043 MPS, pt number 039 906 051

Guys--

I have a new, including the box 043 MPS. I bought it from a Porsche shop about 15 - 20 years ago as part of a MPS calibration study I was doing. Today Porsche lists the MPS at $1481.50. I'd like $1000 for mine. I know this MPS isn't for everyone but it is a great price for someone who is putting together a concours 914/4.

I thought these were NLA (ie. no longer being manufactured?)

Hi boxsterfan--

They are still listed in the Porsche parts books, that's where I found the current price. I didn't try to order one.

Friday Bump.

I rechecked the wording and description associated with part number 039 906 051 and I'm not sure that new 043s are still available. Wording such as "may not be the same part" and "special order only" make it seem like a long shot that you'l get what you order.

On the condition that this is perfect and unmodified (cannot see the epoxy plug in the photos), and has no leak down, I will offer the very fair and reasonable, market rate sum of $350. plus shipping costs for this MPS. Paypal funds available for immediate payment.

Please advise.

Hi Jeff--

Thanks for the offer but I'll pass.

Guys--

I've had a change in plans. The MPS is no longer for sale.

Thanks for the interest in my parts,

Now that seller has withdrawn sale I will add that Bruce is right. I paid about $300 for an NOS unit, in box, about a year ago on evilbay. Now that Tangerine (or is it PMB) offers top quality rebuilds, the value of the NOS units has dropped significantly.

Hi Amphicar--

Thanks for adding clarity to the MPS value discussion. If you can provide the NOS documentation and photos I'll give you $400 plus S, H and PP for your MPS today (please PM with the info).

Do we have a deal?

Thanks,

--Papermaker

Amphicar--

It has to be a 043 MPS.

Thanks,
