I am in need to expand my tool collection. I also need some screws as mine got loose.
I need a synchro press for a 901
I need a ball joint tool
I need a strut tool, that goes on the big washer for the front struts. Or one that goes over the shock shaft to hold it in place when putting shocks back on. Old ones come off via an impact wrench and a 22mm socket. Zip and done! I don't want to take that approach putting on the new inserts.
And well I need 3 crap make it 6 of the screws that hold the headlight trim rings on to the 914 bucket.
I lost one, and two of the others the heads where stripped out. So if you have 3 that fits the bill, if you have 6 it guarantees I never need to search for them. As if I have 3 one will be gone to no mans land with the socks, and tape measures. Or maybe they hang out with the missing pens from my desk.
Home Depot or Lowes for the screws. I think I used some black allen head screws since the holes are hard to hit and the screw keep falling off the magnetized screwdriver.
Be careful with the black, as some are iron oxide and will rust in short order. Black zinc would be ok, at least longer than the oxide ones.
Double checked screws, I used Stainless Steel allen head.
thanks, just got them measured up they are 4mm 0.7 pitch 8mm longs. Lowe's have them in stainless steel in cap head or Philips at 12mm long. That adds some weight to the car I choose Philips head as they where .40 for 4 where as the cap screws where a $1.04 for 2
Yes I am a CSOB at times
If you need the P225 tool I can loan it to you Stephan. Just pay shipping. Kent
