Never miss a chance to buy something from Chris
It's called cloth electrical tape. Get a good quality one that tolerates high heat and freezing.
Tesa? What width is it?

Get a roll of plain old 'friction' tape What we used to tape up baseball bat hand grips when I was a kid in the olden days [ before color TV]. . . It usually is 3/4 inch wide [19mm]. . slice the roll in half verticallyon a band saw. . That makes it about 10mm
It comes in 9mm too.....

I bought the plain old friction tape at Lowes in the electrical dept. Looks identical; don't know how long it will last, but it's better than vinyl and most certainly better than the OEM cloth tape from 40 yrs ago
I bought the electrical grade tape, it's different than the friction tape. a lot more flexible/pliable.
Amazon is fast. ordered last night and now I have it
