914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ WTB All parts to get my cooling flaps working

Posted by: Localboy808 Aug 16 2017, 07:02 PM

Looking for the thermostat, the bracket that holds it and the wheel that the cable runs through. Could use the cable as well. It looks like Auto Atlanta sells all the pieces but good used will work for me.

LMK, Scott Thanks!

I only see the VW Mexico not safe fail thermostat. Seem like most of it is Type1.
You are safer to not run that stat and leave them wide open.
Looks like it install farther forward on the case ans is a push up type.
Anyone buy one from him ? I heard some complaints about how he treats people.

I have some brackets and wheels. Have also heard of repairing old ones by finding the leak and soldiering it up.

He has both stats but you cannot call him on the phone only email him.

I got more that I needed, as it was too hard to describe on the email. Ended up with $40 too many parts.

Auto Atlanta looks like they carry the parts. See this thermostat Bruce? Is this one no good? What do you want for a bracket, Wheel and the nuts?
