Looking for a complete or semi complete injected 912e motor, hopefully driving distance from Los Angeles or from someone who can crate.

Thanks

Casey

Curious ... why, specifically, a 912E motor? ... is this for a 914?

That's a '68 type 616 Porsche motor typically used in 356's and 912s up to 1969.

912E motors are 2.0L type-4 (VW), similar to late 914's 2.0L motors, but with L-jet induction instead of D-jet.

912E engine cases have no serial number it is on the fan housing. I've had 3 of them and still have #265.

I had two 912E's after my first 914 taught me how reliable the pancake motor really is.

After that, the 911 bug took over.......... and did it again with my 914 recently...

I'm looking for a 912e motor for a 912e shell that had belonged to a deceased friend I want to put back on the road. I thought it pretty likely that a 912e motor would be floating around the 914 world.

I had a 912E in college and grad school until I bought my first house. I put 150,000 miles on it and maintained it myself. I had several 911's and 912's over the same period, but the 912e got the miles. Looking to make another daily driver.
