914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ WTB: Parts from 3.2 Engine

Posted by: thomasotten Feb 23 2018, 06:54 AM

I wanted to see if anyone here has some of the parts that are missing on my "mostly-complete" 3.2 engine. This will go into an SC.

I have just given it a quick look over but I know I need

Sheet metal
Air filter housing
Fan and Alternator
Muffler
DME and harness
Flywheel for 84-86
Clutch kit for 915 transmission

I sent you a PM re a muffler, heat exchangers, possible catalytic converter- or it is a bypass pipe. I then realized I may have a fan housing too. beerchug.gif

Good 3.2 fan housings are like gold. Vertex raised the price of their reproduction housing to $900. There might be another company making them cheaper but they won’t be cheap.

Pelican will be a better source for these parts.

Curious where this motor came from and if it was recently purchased? A 3.2 with a similar set of missing parts was forcefully removed from Erics truck at PMB 2 months ago.

Thanks guys, and please send pics.

To the question above, the engine was recently purchased off ebay from a PCA member.
