914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ SOLD........911S 2.7L Engine with Weber (40 IDTP13C) Carbs

Posted by: 9144me2enjoy Aug 4 2018, 10:29 AM

SOLD.......I have a 2.7L Complete engine out of a 1975 911S (901.101.101.7R). Engine #6550745. I pulled the Transmission off and found the following information: The Flywheel #911.102.202.01 above that number 28.6.74. Flywheel Ring #974. Clutch: Type MFZ 225 - Fichtel & Sachs AG - #3032015399. It is equipped with 40 Webers (401DTP13C made in Italy). I purchased it from a guy who reportedly removed it out of a running 1975 911S about 6 months ago. Engine turns over freely. I was going to use it in a 914-6 conversion but have decided to go another direction. I can sell it with the stock exhaust exchangers and muffler or with European headers and exhaust system. Braided plug wires etc. This would be a great engine to rebuild to your specs already set up with the highly desired Weber carburation or install as is. Would consider selling with out Weber setup if needed.

Any leak down or compression numbers? Thanks, Ric.

No leak down, I was told the previous owner did a compression test before removing it which showed 130-145 range across all 6. I have not verified those numbers yet.

914/6 carbs could be valuable to someone with a "6". Thats what those are.

I have a 1988 Fiero GT Fastback. First of all, forget everything you thought you knew about Fieros. In 1987 General Motors owned Lotus Cars in England and they brought the Lotus engineers over to the US to completely redesign the suspension and chassis of the Fiero in 1988. 1988, 1 year, thats it. GM then stop making Fieros and soon after that sold Lotus cars. Mine is red, of course, 5-speed/2.8L V6, 107K miles, low profile wheels and tires, handling package. It handles like it is on rails. If you want to go faster you can bolt in a 3.8L supercharged GM engine and achieve 0-60 in 3 seconds. Always garaged, has never seen snow or ice. Value $7500-$8000.00. Let me know if you would be interested in a trade. This seems like an unusual trade, but it is a running driving sports car. David.
