PRE SALE

Well…I am converting my stock front & rear trunk hinges to GT Style. I have tried several hole patterns and I’m close to making 5 sets for my cars. I am willing to make a few more as a GB purchase for fellow members. I’m only doing ONE limited run. I can offer outright or with core exchange.

$165/2 fronts and 2 rears…outright

$100/2 fronts and 2 rears…core exchange

I will deburr and bead blast after machining.

These look really nice Oscar. When I drilled mine I was way too conservative (especially with fiberglass trunk and hood). As a friend said when I showed him the hinges post-powder coat: :"Mmmm, should've kept drilling...."

I like the pattern you have used...looks good.
I've done many in the past on race cars with fiberglass lids.
And yes every ounce is golden in a race car...
I have some notes around somewhere when I did a weight reduction count of every part removed on a race 914 and it is amazing what it all adds up to....just like the balsa wood gearshift knob and drilled key on the 917s every little bit helps...

Had mine plated with a load of other parts $50 for 5 gallon bucket full of parts. This was 15 years ago so price may be more now.

Thom, I prefer cores but not a must.
At this point I'm only offering these hinges RAW (glass bead blasted) or Yellow Zinc plated. I can also epoxy prime coat at no extra charge.

I’m in the process of sourcing some cores so I can do another run. Trying to keep cost the same, if I can do a run of 15-20 sets. Not worth doing a few sets.
