914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ WTB Front Turn Signal Lenses

Posted by: Ansbacher May 25 2019, 05:01 PM

Looking for a pair of Front Turn Signal Lenses that are of the Bright Orange color (almost red) variety, in at least Very Good condition. Not interested in high-priced original Hellas. It seems all the new ones out there are of a subdued amber color or even just pale yellow. I have a white car and need as much color accent I can get. To put it another way, they need to match the original orange side marker warts. Right now I am running Hella European style lenses but since I have USA rears, they need to be replaced.

If someone has what I am talking about, please PM me. Thanks.

They make paint for plastic. Bob Burton is the plastic expert and probably knows a trick or two. Just thinking of options.

I have used a candy apple red paint to get some faded taillights to look more red if you will.
You might look for an orange or yellow in a candy apple paint.

The color is in the plastic as transparent tint. The intensity of color is controlled by the number of drops of color. Liquid Acrylic plastic with a hardener is mixed and Bada Boom but not that easy.

Not exactly red, but dark amber has good contrast with your white paint. $30 for the pair + ship.
