Those prices are super super great. If you are thinking of doing a backdate or of your bumpers are trashed, this is the deal you have been waiting for. Oscar is a 100% class act and he is always giving to this community.

Oscar,
I'm still on the hunt for a Concours worthy OEM 73-74 chrome front bumper with tit & license plate holes, & with the 4 back braces - i.e: the factory original with 2 braces to mount + 2 behind the tits (as opposed to a drilled out 70-72 front one with only 2 back braces).
Please contact me if you ever get one. TIA
Cheers!
Tom

FYI - for those looking at these....
Unless you're backdating or don't care - the MY applications are:
The 1st set are 70-71 or 71.5 (front is 70-72 & square corner rear is 70-71 or 71.5)
The rounded corner rear are 71.5 or 72 to 73 - then in 74 rear tits were added to the rounder corner type.
All "Tit" bumpers came from the factory with a welded on extra pair of back braces (total of 4 per end), so that the 3 mph resistance was achieved with the "tits" - but cheapo body shops would just drill the non-braced ones & bolt on the tits - which were pretty useless.
914s were "titless" (no black "rubber" bumper guards) 70-72 MY, then front tits only in 73, then front & rear in 74, then black impact bumpers (BUBS) 75-76, with the sharp angle rear bumper license plate cut-out in 70-71 or 71.5 only, then switching to rounded corner (i.e.: the upper corners L & R of the rear bumper license plate recess or setback).
If you're not picky or just backdating, then the above doesn't matter!
Cheers!
Tom

Yehey finally Jim is doing a backdate. It will look the same with Dr. Phil’s car.
I think Oscar is out of town for a few days.

I got your PM. Thank you...
I have bumpers I'm picking up from chrome any day for a few local members and a set for back East. After that I'm committed to do a multi set special run for a mid-west member.
THEN, I'll be doing some for myself....Can you wait a little? My chrome shop is super slow these days.
LMK,
Oscar

FWIW, I use "triangular inset" to describe early, and "curved inset" for later
Great prices!!

Hi there,
I have a late ´71-4 with curved rear bumpers. Is there any information on when they switched from "square" to "curved" in the ´71 model year? Like the VIN?
I would like to know if my car is original or if the bumpers have been changed.
Thanks for your input.
Arno

Probably not. Some parts have VIN or engine numbers listed in the factory parts manual (up to chassis #XX, or engine #XX) bumpers are not.

Oscar, I’d like an early front chrome bumper ( two brackets). Good but not necessarily perfect. Art. ABQ
