I just recently purchased a 914-6 GT project and started looking over it and it appears I'm missing the aluminum throttle plate and linkage. Anybody have one laying around?
Sorry....this is a 2.7 CIS 6cyl
I should have it. Is it only the lever on the throttle body or the console on the case as well? Should have both
I think I've got the bracket and bell crank, but not the short linkage pieces
Reference the photo in post #1:
The engine case mounted 911 CIS throttle plate and linkage in the photo has been modified to use a stock 4-cylinder throttle cable and 'pull' from the front of the 914.
An unmodified 911 CIS throttle plate and linkage would 'pull' toward the rear of a 914. That would require a stock 914-6 throttle cable and the 914-6 transmission mounted throttle lever assembly.
I haven't posted a WTB ad at Pelican, but as you mentioned it may not be a bad idea. The picture that I posted was a picture that I grabbed from an older 2.7 CSI post. Great point on the modified plate/cable and how it would function. Does anyone have any other ideas on what the set up should look like.
you'll also need the spacer that goes on one stud
Going back through some boxes and found the CIS throttle plate, bracket and bell crank. Thanks for checking!
Still looking for the throttle rod from the bell crank on the tranny to the throttle plate. Also need the short throttle linkage from the throttle plate to the throttle body.
