914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ 103mm JE forged Pistons/Cylinders

Set of excellent 103mm forged JE pistons with 24 mm pins. Barrels were bottle brush honed to make sure there were no bad scratches on them. Ring lands excellent. You’ll need rings and wrist pin retainers. I use spiral-lock retainers and they get ruined on removal. Couple of pictures attached. I can email more if interested. Posting multiples with phone is an PITA. $350

Hi Mr LeeS

I have a few questions:
What stroke were these pistons used/designed for?
It looks like they are flat top style with valve pocket depression area?
What compression ratio were you able to achieve with them?

Thank you,
Steve

Hi Steve,

They are for 71 stroke. Flat top with pockets is correct. I ran .070 deck with reshaped combustion chambers (60 cc) for an 8.9:1 compression ratio with this motor. I use copper head gaskets when running these larger bores. I do have a set of 0.060 copper gaskets, but those would have to be sold separately since they run $180 from Pauter and I just had a couple sets made for some other builds I’m working on.

The barrels are trimmed to achieve ~.070 deck with .060 spacers or copper gaskets.
