Could be used for early cars but they only had 5 larger buttons. Restored buy old world craftsman 1st of year. Comes with locking bars, speaker plugs and back strap. Not cheap but hard to find ready to go. $349 shipped.

Really a nice looking radio. What kind of sound do they provide with modern speakers?
Good question since radio only puts out 10 watts. Average would be my best guess.

According to the Mercedes-Benz reference they started in 1974.

'74 it was/is...i had one in my '74 280C...took it to maybe use in my 914 conversion....these photos make me want to go for it
