914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ side shift linkage complete package

Posted by: brant Jun 24 2020, 09:41 AM

I have a complete set of shift linkage that is needed to convert to a side shifter.

you would still need:
-new motor mounts (rubber)
-a rear shift console plastic cover (914 rubber)
-a forward shift plastic cover (914 rubber)
-new shift linkage cone screws x2 (new)
-a conversion firewall shift bushing, plus the 2 rear bushings (new)
-replacement bushing for the fire wall connection knuckle (new)
-the warm air guide for a side shift, if you want all stock tin in place (car will run without this piece)
-a side shifter transmission, or change the tail cone and rods on your tail shift

This sale includes:
-both forward and rear shift linkages for a side shift
-the actual shifter that is necessary for SS
-the bushing in the bottom of the shifter, to mate to the shift rod (not in these pictures but included)
-the motor bar that is for a SS
-both motor mount brackets, required to use the SS motor bar
-front and rear shift linkage attachment hardware to connect the bars at the shifter and shift console (front splined piece, and rear cup)
-the aluminum flex knuckle for the fire wall connection

I can also provide the SS tail cone and internal shift rods for converting your tail style transmission. I can provide these to the buyer for an additional $150 as part of the package

The complete shift linkage is in good shape
due to the motor bar, its a heavy package to ship
I've been doing actual shipping cost, since rates vary depending on distance.
so Shipping would be actual cost at UPS (I shipped a lighter tail shift package for 36, so this would be more, due to the length of the motor bar and weight)

complete shift linkage conversion package: $400 + actual shipping

SS transmission tail cone and 3 internal shift rods $150 optional to the buyer, not willing to split (will need to get pictures if buyer has interest)

let me know your questions

Really good
I think I may have replaced it in the late 90’s

Nice. The white bushings look to be intact too. OEM plates are $80+. When you can find them. Clean assem. One less thing to worry about when converting or just replacing a worn linkage assem. And a bent engine support bar. The correct warm air guide is a bonus.

Bruce,

that is an awesome offer
I'm wondering why I'm spending more money to clean out my shed
but I'm still interested... (must be the addiction) I like the idea of a complete package even if no one is interested...

I'll PM you
thanks
