914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ WTB: Rear Trunk to Eng Bay Sheet Metal

Posted by: dgale914 Oct 12 2020, 01:28 PM

I have a 1975 2.0L that was originally bought as a 'parts car' but now that all 914s are going up in value I may keep & restore the car.

The problem is the rear trunk was cut so i'm looking for someone with a parts car that has a good rear trunk floor up to the engine compartment and up to the weatherstrip at the rear trunk lid. I can then weld in and the car is complete again.

I'm in Northern California near Folsom/Sacramento. If any of you have a destroyed parts car with this sheet metal, please let me know. It's an easy cut out with a sawzall.

Thanks!

Doug

I may have you covered. I'll take pics after work. I'm about a 7 hour drive Northwest to Crescent City.

There is a '71 at pick and pull in Newark. It would be a pain to cut that part out in the yard though. When I was there I didn't look to see how good the trunk area was.

Here's the pics of my chassis in Crescent City $100.00 if you want the section. pick-up only (too big to ship). I also a have bunch of various 914 parts depending on what ever else you may need putting it together. Cheers, Russ Attached Image Attached Image

That would work but it's a 6.5 hour drive to get to you. I'll have to get back to you if I can't find something closer.

Re. the Newark car..... A Milwaukee SawZall can remove it in about 20 minutes. I just need to get out there. How long has that car been in the Pick-n-Pull?

Thanks for options - Keep them coming!
