914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ 2.0 Bursch Muffler

Posted by: rick 918-S Jan 3 2021, 02:08 PM

I had this sand blasted and I painted with Zinc weld thru primer. I was going to install it on Sandy's Ravenna car but it did not line up with the 1.7 heat exchangers I had on the engine. So I assumed it was a 2.0 muffler. Not sure.

Someone here will know. It is in very good condition with very few dings in it. Not rusted out. Looking to get $ 200.00 plus actual shipping if it's worth it. The group will know what it's worth and someone will chime in with real data. It's not going back into the storage unit.

You saw that the flanges/gaskets are larger ? it's a 2.0
1.7 / 1.8 are smaller.

Ya, I never gave it a thought when I was cleaning it up to use on the Ravenna car. It is definitely a 2.0. I see there is another one listed here and it say's Bursch. In any event it is a nice piece.

Rick, I sold one just like that back in April of 2020. It was for a 2.0L and sold for $200. + shipping, so you're not out of line on pricing.

Hi Rick. Hi Mark.

I remember back in 2000 when I bought a 2.0 Bursch from Pelican. It was $185 new. Times have changed.

Time to lower the price. $ 125.00 plus actual shipping. It's not going back to the storage unit.

Rick, any idea on shipping cost to 80202? Think this will be a good option for my 2056 build with heat exchangers
Thanks,
Andrew
