Even more specific it's a '71 judging by the grain of the leatherette.
If washed ( ) it will be found to be more shiny than other 914 material ...of
any year.

Maybe the previous owner slapped an earlier one into a later car? IDK. I was thinking in about 73, that both seats were moveable?

The headrest on the passenger side is the first giveaway but there are a ton of differences between the early pads with a fixed passenger seat and the mid/late with a movable seat.
As Rory said, it's a '71 with one year only grained leatherette.
It's in pretty rough condition.
