SOLD! (There were some small burrs that prevented the plunger from moving over the pin- I've removed them now.) Original rear trunk upper latch, zinc plated with new plastic plunger sleeve.

Something is not right with that assembly. The striker should extend more through the white plastic plunger and the spring is to compressed. Looks like it is hanging up on something. Aftermarket plastic part with wrong hole size?

Plastic bushing from 914Rubber. I'll check it out.

I got 3 from 914 rubber and they were all fine but I agree, it's not positioned correctly but might just be getting hung up on a burr or something.

mepstein nailed it. A few tiny burrs kept the bushing from sliding over the pin. It's all fixed and I've updated the ad.
