914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ FS Pair of Restored Early Rear Targa latches

Posted by: bdstone914 May 27 2021, 08:33 AM

I have one pair of early 1970-1972 rear targa latches. They have been striped and powder coated. The second picture shows an early and late latch. Note the difference in the bump height and distance. Please compare to what is on your car. Each latch takes a rubber block that matches the latch.

Just curious - you mentioned each latch takes a rubber block. I have a 71 914-4 and restored my latches and the targa. Nothing rubber was on the latch pin prior to refinishing. Is there supposed to be a rubber bushing on the pin?

If so would love to know what you used to for that.

The rubber block is on the targa top a nb d nests between the bumps on the top of the targa latch.
