914World.com _ FS/WTB: 914 Parts _ FS - 96mm 1.7/1.8 Porsche 914 / VW Type 4 Piston Set

Long story short - we ordered the wrong Piston and Cylinder kit from AA Performance. We did install them on our engine to figure that out but, they were not fully installed (i.e. heads on and torqued, etc). We paid $400.00 for them, but are looking to sell them for the cost of our mistake, in other words the right parts, which was $200.00 + shipping. Here is a link to the set we are selling -

Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I will get an estimate prior to shipping so everyone is comfortable. Preferred payment methods are venmo/paypal/zelle.

You will probably get better response to post a picture of what you have with the part number from the box. Many buyers are leary of pists using only the manufacturers link as that is something a scammer would do.

The lable on the box in the image says they are for a 71mm stroke crank which is a 2.0L. Your title says they are for 1.7, 1.8L. Your post says they are 96mm and the lable on the bix says 94mm. The link in your first post goes to the AA page for the 1 7, 1.8 type 94mm.

What engine do you have that they did not fit? Did you change the rod lenght?

Great question - thanks for catching that - we didn't have the box for the original kit we bought. They are as advertised just in the wrong box. No modifications were made to the pistons, rods, or cylinders.

Hi!

Are these still available? Looking for a set of 96mm pistons for a 66mm (1.7L or 1.8L) crank. I know you can get new ones for around $250, but this is a budget build father/son project. Thank you!

Chris
