Posted by: skota23 Feb 6 2023, 11:47 AM

Hello,

My car came with a Triad muffler and sounds amazing, but, I plan on doing some longer trips with the wife this year and would like something quieter.

Ideally I'd find someone here with a Dansk stock style muffler and single outlet rear valance eager to swap me for my setup. beerchug.gif

The Triad is in nice shape with a little surface corrosion.

Thank you,

Hi, would you mind posting a picture of your current setup? Could help someone jump the gun.

Keep the Triad. I have one in my car and absolutely love it. It really isnt much loader than the stock one I replaced.

The Triad is a much better muffler ... really good quality.

May have missed it, but what are you asking for the Triad?

Posted by: rhodyguy Feb 19 2023, 10:36 AM

A Triad muffler will be the new unicorn.

Posted by: type2man Feb 20 2023, 10:11 PM

Bursch.....and not the new Bursch, the old school bursch. Its not much louder than stock yet makes more 5-10 more HP than stock, the triad is super loud and the evo is worse. Get an old school used bursch and be done. The new Bursch doesnt look good, and I dont think the quality is there...

HA! Makes sense now. The piping is what counts on a Bursh type. 4-2-1. Replacement mufflers are readily available at a reasonable cost. Smart move holding on to Dave’s work. Like a tribute.

I have an old Bursh running on SSi 2.0 manifolds on a stock Jet 2.0. Do I need to record another sound clip?

Posted by: skota23 Feb 21 2023, 09:11 AM

I think what I'll do for now is try to source an old Bursch and give that a try while holding onto the Triad.

Sorry for the bother folks.
