Got a nice 72 rolller but I'm in Missouri
Posted by: McMark Dec 6 2009, 05:40 PM
FedEx please.
Posted by: markb Dec 6 2009, 06:20 PM
I think I still have a 70 tub at the storage yard (been a while since I've been out there). No paperwork on it, tho. Had a front ender (repaired) a long time ago. It's pretty much stripped.

I'm going to need something with a clean title.
It will be the base of a complete car that is going to be driven on the street.
Fender stamping and windshield VIN need to match.

Posted by: markb Dec 6 2009, 08:28 PM
Mine won't work for that, then.

Anyone on the west coast that has a tub he/she needs to get rid of?
Can have rear end damage, i only need good parts from the rear firewall forward.

All right, photoshop gurus. Time to mock up some of the possibilities for Andy's project.
I'm guessing world's first rear-engine 914. 914 as far as the targa bar, then 911 tail.
Any other guesses? Maybe a wagon?
Posted by: jmill Dec 6 2009, 08:59 PM
Maybe he's going to build a DD with all his spare goodies.
Posted by: McMark Dec 6 2009, 09:12 PM
Trailer?
Posted by: ConeDodger Dec 6 2009, 09:22 PM
Oh oh... Andy must have wandered back into Mark's storage area and seen the beautiful tub with front end damage in behind my car... Andy, get help. It's a disease!

Yup! Just don't go cutting the front end off my car while it is sitting there
You two sure that front end can't be pulled and straightened? That is one of the most rust free tubs I have seen.

With enough money, anything can be fixed ...
So, back to my original question:
Anyone got a good tub or roller that has rear end damage?Oh, and i forgot to mention, i'm perfectly fine with paying for it (within reason), i wasn't asking for a freebie ...

I'm guessing a UK style 914 double decker... the rear damage is OK as that is where the stairs will go..

Uh Oh........
He's finally gonna do the limo.......

The trailer is free but I have to tug the 4Runner away from Yopu!

A trailer is available out of Pleasanton too. Copperopolis is northeast of Manteca up Hwy 4.

I have a '74 roller for $400. If the other does not work out let me know. I am in Porterville Ca. 45 miles south of Fresno. 1 559 784 7209 ask for Don.

Hmmm.... go get a 914 in Copperopolis, lug it to Sonoma, drive the completed Bitchy Blonde up on the trailer and lug it home. Transmission installed and hooked up in trade for towing.

Wow! Copperopolis is East of Manteca and Modesto in the foothills. It has snow on the ground right now but who knows about this weekend. You two better be pretty sure you want this thing! Can you come up here and leave from here? Yopu gave me stinkeye but didn't loudly protest that I had just ruined her life so I think this can be done...
Now that I know the super-secret plan for this I am interested in being a small part of it... Cool idea!

If you get a front, a rear, and several middles you could build a really, really long limo. I wonder how long of a clutch cable and accelerator cable they can build?

Yup! We gotta dress up...
A little

Easy there champ. I need to put about a gallon of Swepco in her before we drive it anywhere. Well, maybe on to the trailer would be alright...

That is the very rare factory six front engined 914. Figures TC would have one.
