914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Turbo Boost Pressure / Comp Ratio

I found this chart (from Holley/ Weiand) in my archives and it basically calculates your actual total C/R by adding boost pressure to your static C/R. So my biturbo is running 7.0 static and at 22 psi boost pressure the engine is running at 17.3:1 total c/r. I use 100 octane for anything over 16 psi.
Sorry for the print quality of the chart.

So when I was running 14psi on my Honda engine with 11.5:1....wow...that is scary! biggrin.gif

hehe cool, our rally car is running 17psi on 11:1. that's almost 24:1 effective

of course, we're running 102 octane.

my built subie motor is shooting for 6psi at 9.5:1 beerchug.gif

So...

At 7.5:1 + 12# = 13.6:1 on pump gas with no audible detonation, not bad. I might have to try some 104oct and take it up to 16# just for fun.

You've got more balls than I do. That sentence sounds like a blown motor to me, but I'm probably just chicken. unsure.gif
