porsche 022 115 611 oil dipstick. Is there a VW one that is identical? Thanks.
Not for a bus engine.
Not sure about the 411-412's.
IIRC the 411 dipstick is same as a bus.
I recently bought a 914 Type IV dipstick directly from Porsche via Germany. Took a couple weeks but was pretty reasonable after my PCA discount.
Thanks Rob, I just ordered one from them. Figured they were long gone, but they seem to have some left in Germany. I checked busdepot, they have 021 115 611 I think.. but I imagine something is different from the Pcar one. Thanks folks.
WAAYYYYY Different.
For the 914, the dipstick is short and goes straight in a hole in the top of the block.
For the bus, they machine a big hole in the side of the block, bolt on this long angled pipe that extends towards the rear bumper, and use an enormously long (compared to the 914) dipstick that can be inserted from the rear of the bus.

It is not stock, but I love mine. Requires a 914 block, or you have to pull the dip stick holder off your bus/411 case and replace it with the 914 one (which is what I did.)

The oil level markings are way different between Bus and 914 dipsticks.
