914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Broken Clutch Tube

Posted by: roberthbollinger Mar 17 2010, 01:02 PM

Hello:

I cannot shift my 1972 2.0 914 into fourth or fifth gear. First and reverse can also be difficult sometimes. How much would a shop typically charge to repair a broken clutch tube?

Thanks, Bob

Sounds to me like you need to address shifter bushings and possibly trans mounts as well.
