I am going to fab some motormounts but I don't have a spare one to measure.

Can someone give me some exact measurments including the rubber length and diameter and the length of the studs on each end?

The short stud is a hair under 5/8"
the rubber is 1 1/4"
the long stud is 2 1/8"

Next you'll ask me to convert these to metric... laugh.gif

how about the diameter of the rubber.

I was planning on finding a bushing from energy that has similar dimensions and then cutting in to exact size and passing a bolt thru the center.

Might give a little isolation compared to steel or aluminum only. My CSR had solid mounts and the damn thing would vibrate itself into pieces.

Diameter is 2"

I'm in the middle of building a front engine mounting bar out of 1" round tubing and 3/4" square tubing. Has to be lighter than that cast iron anchor. sawzall-smiley.gif welder.gif

Why is it called a "side-shifter" engine mounts?
Aren't they all the same?

No, the tail shift cars have a different mount bar and are solid mounted at the engine. 911 (rubber) mounts are used at the outer ends.

The nylon is pretty rigid, but it does attenuate quite a bit more noise and vibration than the aluminum.

It is hard to compare to polyurethane, as nylon is plastic like and the hardness is measured with the Rockwell R scale. Polyurethane is considered like a rubber (and can range greatly in how hard it is from squishy soft to plastic hard) and is measured by its durometer.
