Aside from the obvious difference in diameter. What is it that makes 1.7 and 1.8 pistons with 66mm stroke different than the 2.0 pistons with 71mm stroke?
Does it have to do with wrist pin size or possibly the distance from the wrist pin center to the top of the piston?
Thanks,
dr
Wrist pins....
Its the "Pin height" everything else is exacting.. The 71 stroke had the pin moved higher as it had a .100" longer rod and 5mm more stroke.
Trust me, for the application you have- you don't want the extra stroke- let it rev! We like the 66 stroke better for those engines.
Let me lead- if you floow you won't have to learn and make thousands of posts to get the engine assembled.
OK,
Just trying to learn.
