Likely the strangest 914 I've seen in the wild:
Sorry I didn't get better pictures. Had skid plates, rally lights, etc. Anyone know who's it is? Rough, but interesting...

That is the same whip that my car came with!
Nice front fenders too!
Yikes, that is just wrong to do to a 914. On the bright side he does not have to worry about speed bumps!
Looks like Roy's baja. Seen it at the VeeDub store by Joe Sharps. Here's some pics I took couple of years ago... Owner lives in Fountain Valley, not on this board. Real nice guy, really put a lot of thought into the car

looks fun as hell if you ask me
I'd like one!
A Baja 914 is on the bucket list. I'm thinking about the Baja 1000!
I'd go along with that, Mike Maybe in a few years?
I just got a great idea for mounting my oil cooler!
(I dig that car, looks like fun. +1 for using Fuchs with those huge tires.)
(oops, double post)
One of my 90's era VW magazines detailed a 914 baja car. Very nice build. I will have to do some digging. Amazing what comes up when you type "914 baja pictures" into Google...
This one looks sweet, though. (not the best at uploading pictures)

What is the fan contraption on the roof for?
I like this one too. Race ready! Sand Rail style...
Needs mud flaps...
You never know what will show up. I bought a 928 engine from a guy that helped his son build this car. I don't know where it is now.

OK, now I'm gettin a little scared...
all the rage in michigan back in the 70's-80's, rip the body off a jacked pickup and drop a tub on it... i never saw a 914, but plenty of corvettes/muscle cars.
