914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Parts list for rear seal replacement

So. The real seal is probably out since the leak comes out between the motor and transmission, and it's not gear oil.
Here's a list of parts I think I'll probably need while I'm down there. What am I missing or should look at replacing?

Rear Seal
Motor Mounts - tranny mounts look good
Spring washers on CV joint bolts
Cone screws for Shifter Bar

You can reset your endplay on the crankshaft.

O-ring for flywheel and flywheel shim seal or whatever you call it.
Ball cup for clutch fork?
Emery cloth for the flywheel to the main seal.

Probably going to need a clutch disk, it's most likely oil soaked. Throw out bearing if needed. Replace the clutch arm ball cup and set the proper amount of shims under the pivot ball to get the arm geometry correct.

You guys are really making my day hissyfit.gif but if I break it apart, I guess that the right way. Parts are Parts, unless they're on a 914.
I'm going t make bumper stickers: It's Finished! Until something else quits. biggrin.gif
