Iwas there in the early 70's... remember seeing VW fastback polizei.. put 24K miles on my 6 driving around Mannheim and Karlsruhe... most of the time at 100+

Great times...

I see that outfit doing a lot of buying an selling on ebay, I wondered if that wasn't someone who belonged to this BBS.

His name is Rene Boug-----. I dont remember how to spell the whole last name. He does alot of buying and reselling on ebay. he's also on the german ebay buying on that one. He bought my 914-6 revell model from me and sold it a couple of months later.

Renecorp is the guy who bought that metal GT oil cooler shroud wasnt he?

Posted by: Bleyseng Apr 8 2004, 05:52 PM

Yeah, he sniped me on that one!

Don't know him at all. Maybe he's one of those Microsoft wine and cheese Porsche guys I don't hang with. They show up at the AX and we laugh at them.

I exchanged emails with him recently about a /6 he had (or had).
He works I Park Place Motors in Bellevue I think, likes 914's but isn't specifically into them like us freaks.
Thats all I know.

That would be Rene Bourget at Park Place then. He had 9140431123 for sale. From what I hear, he is into building / restoring 914/6 GT's along with a few other fellows, sort of a team effort.

Dave you know some cool stuff.

Maybe thats why he's been buying up lots of the esoteric 914 stuff lately. If someopne has a contact with him, maybe they could extend an invitation to him to participate in our site?

Long as its just him and not Park Place LTD, effin place. They have some cool cars but they burnt the bridges with me awhile ago.
If I am in that part of town I will try to talk to him.

Don't invite him to this BBS. Sounds like he actually gets work done on his cars, no need to ruin it for him or drag him down with us.

Posted by: boxstr Apr 8 2004, 10:57 PM

He purchased a front and rear fiberglass bumpers from my 74 914-6 coversion car. That was two+ years ago.
Let me guess Geoff, they forgot to wash your Ferrari when you went to pick it up and you said" Park this, Park Place. laugh.gif laugh.gif "

Pretty bad paint match on that passenger door or is it just me...

Posted by: Bleyseng Apr 9 2004, 08:13 AM

Maybe I'll swing by today as its nice and sunny to take a look see.

No Craig, my old girlfriend and I bought a MB 190 16V from them and had a ton of problems with them and the sale. We bought the car with a list of things that had to be fixed before the deal would close, never again.

Geoff

Posted by: rhodyguy Apr 9 2004, 08:59 AM

Posted by: Eddie914 Apr 9 2004, 09:32 AM

This model for sale looks a bit better.

Greg F was crew chief for Park Place's Saleen S7R car effort a couple of years back...

But he is still an ok guy, Park Place not so ok!

I was in the area, driving home from the station just around the block, and took a peek of this car in person. Rene is a nice, charming guy. He did not give me the "used car guy" feeling but rather a P-car smile. I know that this car is way out of my league financially but, it is always nice to dream.
The car checks out rather well too! A bit of superficial touch ups required to become someone's baby but, what a nice f'n car! Wish it was mine!
He is looking to try and get about $12,500 or so out of it? Don't know if that is high or what since my project only cost me $400 w00t.gif
Anywho, enjoy the sunshine and stop by to check it out! burnout.gif
