914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Parking Brake Interior Cable Cover

Posted by: windforfun Jul 14 2010, 10:13 AM

My "73 1.7 is 99.99 % stock. As far as I can tell, it never had a cover on the cables for the parking brake in the the interior. I've purchased two different versions of covers & they don't seem to fit. They interfere quite a bit with the backpad. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks.

73 definitely had them. Swelling and warping of the backpad can make fitment troublesome.

I agree that is the problem

The backpad is brand new. I bought it from you George. Does it have to be removed to install the cable cover?

Thanks guys. So now I guess my car is only 99.95 % stock. How many parts are in a 914 anyway?
