Will this oil cooler work on our 914's

Vs. other options?

Yes the components will fit. But don't expect fantastic cooling from that sort of cooler. I recommend stepping up the a Setrab cooler.

I agree; don't use the tube type coolers. It seems like a good deal, but you probably wont be happy with the results.
In addition to the cooler you should also use a oil thermostat and a fan (which are not in the ebay kit).
There is a recent topic on oil coolers with lots of pictures.

It will sorta work until it splits its guts and sends oil everywhere. Empi stuff is just garbage. I just picked up a brand new cooler out of a Police interceptor.

Setrab. Setrab. Setrab.

I just put a 12 inch Setrab (with fans) in the back of my car, and it dropped my oil temps 40 degrees. Everyone using the EMPI coolers, even with fans, seemed to only get a 20 degree change. its worths the extra money for the better equipment.
