You need the cheaper "European" one... http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/category/Motive_Brake_Bleeders (assuming you're using it for your 914)

I am, although i'm pretty sure my brakes are not the only thing that will be bleeding that day.

I have that one,, it worked like a champ to put fluid into my dry system solo.

but,,,,

If I had to do it again I would buy these two things,,,,,

with a little more $$ (no tax and free ship thru Amazon), you get a tool that can do more than the Motive bleeder. Just about the only drawback I can see is that this tool has a bigger foot print in the garage if space matters.

OK, that one is not quite the same as mine, mine does have a metal cap that screws on to the resevoir. I added a fitting to the hose so I can change the "bleeder" heads (Euro,USA,Jap) easier.

Made my own.....pressure sprayer, pressure gauge, 914 resevoir cap, valve stem, and hose from fix-a-flat.....

Yeah....this is tempting, but since this is my first time bleeding brakes, it's worth the extra $30 to take that variable out of the eqn.

I called Motive Products to make sure I would get the correct unit.

Last week I bought the unit #0100 it has the correct cap.

I believe the universal unit #1100 and the adapter #1109 will work but a bit more expensive.

From what it says, it appears this is for (partial) vacuum only, right?

Or did I read it wrong?

Just checking as I've never been successful in suction bleeding the brakes without pulling air in around the bleeder valves. If you are successful at it, what is your secret?
