Shouldn't you have at least sent a blankie with her!!??
... it's dang cold over there!!!!
lol
Sorry to see another one go.
Hope you are happy
Welcome
8 weeks waiting time
Pretty good it's air cooled, it's -20 celsius here. No frosing risk.
I think Jeff or someone else mentioned that few years ago one 6 went to Finland. I like to know to whom and what kind of car that was?
Can somebody help me in this matter.
.....If it is a 6 conversion(76) with a real 6 motor
maybe???
(excuse me, whole thing is 6, I take it)
Cool car. Its hard to say good bye though...
Well on to brighter days with my new project!! Purchased it today!!
Attached thumbnail(s)
That's not a project!
it only has a 1.8L so it is still a project!!
It also needs the brakes gone through, engine started and a windshield!
Other than that I could probably just drive it!!
Jeff,
Put a windshield in, check the brakes and drive it till your ready to change the motor.
Glad you found a clean new project car. Like the brown interior.
Dave
Lennie and I tried to start the motor tonight and it looks like the 1.8 has some kind of issue. So it looks like maybe it will be converted to a 6 unless I can find a running 2.0 in the next few weeks or we find something basic to fix when we pull it!
You move fast. Looks like quite easy project, have fun! 3,0 in that chassi must be fun
Jeff,
saw that ad on Craigslist today...guess the seller has not taken it off yet?
Looks like a good candidate for a project...5 years in storage, minimal rust..
nice starting point
I am really enjoying my '75 project (now basically complete and running )
WOW it made it all the way to Finland!
Here it is being picked up at Customs!
Attached image(s)
It was stored out in customs for a week. -20 deg Celsius all the time, steering lock was frozen, it was not moving easily to trailer! But now its in varm garage
Oh boy, lots of work.....
Best of luck, glad it made it over...shame about the cold temperatures.
"... it's like selling oil coolers to Finns who drive their 914-6's in the winter..."
...yes, its easier to sell sand to Sahara than oil coolers to Finland
Half of interior is now ripped off and found nothing serious yet!
